On the backdrop of another huge production, this was easily one of the best Eurovision in modern times. Congratulations to Azerbaijan on a very good performance.
Interestingly, Italy crept into second place ahead of Sweden who looked at one point as the favourites to take the top spot.
Britain’s best hope of winning came in the form boy band Blue, who put on one of the best UK performance in years, finishing in 11th place behind Irelands Jedward who finished in 8th place.
